So happy to see that you have found your way to the Lyn_Sey (SisBro) web site.
The fact that you are here hopefully means that something about our music or lyrics has piqued your interest. Perhaps you are curious about the name and why there is an underscore. Maybe you stumbled upon us by accident. Whatever brought you here - welcome! We are southerners so ya'll take your coat/hat/boots off, come on in and sit for a spell. We will be using our blog section to help you get to know us, tell you about what we're working on, and give you insight into the inspiration behind the songs.
First, let's get the answer to the question about the name out of the way. Lyn_Sey is an abbreviation of the sister's name in the SisBro partnership. The underscore was just to be different instead of using a hyphen or leaving a blank space. Some of the digital sites do have us listed as Lyn Sey without the underscore because of formatting issues. Our own Lyn_Sey website had to be Lyn-Sey. Sis writes the songs, does the vocals and some of the instrumentation but Bro is the mastermind behind the musical and vocal arrangements as well as doing some of the instrumentation and mixing/mastering. He adds the icing on the cake so to speak. Some of you may be familiar with another brother and sister music group that liked to say that she was a little bit country and he was a little bit rock and roll. With Lyn_Sey, Sis is more modern and Bro leans into the old school. With that being said Lyn_Sey's style can be described as a fusion between the two, a delicate dance and collaboration, making each song a unique mix of flavors.
